“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)
Hi everyone. Since the year started, I’ve been meditating on this verse and putting it into practice, and I’m amazed at the results! 😉
So today I’d like to share with you a message Bishop Macedo wrote. It’s straightforward, practical, and very helpful. Let’s read, shall we?
We cannot be conformed to this world, which means that we cannot adapt ourselves to the manner of this world. On the contrary, once the Lord Jesus rescues us, our minds need to be fully renewed so that we can be transformed, born again, and experience the will of God, which is good and acceptable and perfect.
New ideas, new beliefs, new principles, new values, new goals, new interests, new priorities, new understanding… everything becomes new to those who are unhappy with this world and have the desire to experience God’s will.
The renewing of our mind is about the need to renew our spirit, which shows where transformation actually takes place. A mind that is conformed to the world becomes old. It’s lazy, inept, goes with the flow, and never experiences the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Don’t adapt yourself to the manner of this world; keep your spirit in step with the Word of God.
