Where’s the wedding ring of the heart?

“Hi, how are you?” I asked.

“So-so,” she replied.

By the way she spoke, I knew she wanted and needed to vent. I then asked her a few more questions and she began to open up:

“I do get the things that I want, but my life does not change… I come to church, I pray for my family and my finances, I see results, but there’s still something missing…”

Whilst she was speaking, I was listening to her and looking at my wedding band on my finger and that’s when I had an idea:

“Look at this wedding ring. Do you know what it means?”

She looked at me with surprise. She must have thought that I was crazy, for my ring had nothing to do with what she was saying. However, she was now paying close attention to me.

My husband was talking to someone on the altar and I pointed to him and said:

“When I married him, I committed myself to taking care of him, being faithful, being his companion, making him happy and loving him with all my heart.

Then, I removed the ring from my finger and put it on her finger. She looked at me blankly.

“It’s this ring that is missing in your life, dear. But I am not talking about your commitment to your husband, but your commitment to God. You should come to church to seek the Blesser, who is much more important than the blessings,” I explained.

“Marry Him and commit yourself to making sure that His Spirit is overflowing in you. Be faithful to Him, be His companion, make Him happy by doing His will and, above all, love Him with all your heart. If my husband gives back, now imagine God!!”

I wanted to share this because it’s a mistake that many people make.

Where’s the commitment? Where’s the ring on your finger?

    this is so true
i mean Gods hands is without measure but the hand of men is measured
giving my life to God and committing to him is the best decision i can ever make in life cause honestly this world will pass, maybe not today or tomorrow but when ever that is the best thing is to invest in the b lesser

for great are the benefits of that,
yes when ever i come to church people will comment and say i love the church, some even call me names, but all of that does not matter cause i have a father , and i won`t always explain why i love being in the church to every one i come across for somethings one just needs one to experience personally to have a clear understanding

spiritual wake up call…….where is the wedding ring
